Installing Special Drivers

Chromeleon provides more than 100 Device Drivers for the control of Dionex devices and many third-party instruments. However, in the event that you want to control a device for which a device driver is not available, limited control may be available using one of the special drivers. For information about when you may use which special driver, refer to Controlling Devices without Separate Device Driver. The glossary describes most of the special drivers; look up the corresponding driver name.

To install special drivers

  1. To add a driver to the selected timebase, select Add Device on the Edit or context menu. Select Generic from the Manufacturers list box and a driver from the Devices list box.

  2. Specify properties for the device. At least one tab page providing alternative options is available for each configurable component. For more information about the settings, click the Help button or press F1 to open the help page for your specific instrument.

  3. Click File and Save Installation to save the new installation.
